Sales to Illinois residents.

SpymanSpyman Member Posts: 117 ✭✭

I've been a member of the Gunbroker community for quite some time now and have noticed an ongoing trend in the sales/ auctions on the site. More listing are specifying where the item can be purchased (i.e. No Sales To Illinois, California, New York, etc.) Is this not Discrimination in Sales to qualified law abiding Gunowners? People , in many instances, do NOT or Can NOT control the legislative process that regulate the formation of laws. but are forced to live by them accordingly. By limiting sales to various areas, it is taking money from Gunbroker and from the licensed FFL Dealer that the gun is to be transferred to. It is his responsibility to do the background check and determine the eligibility of the person to proceed with the purchase. This is a standard Dealer-to-Dealer transfer. Why is it relative to cause the Law Abiding Gun Owner MORE GRIEF when trying to purchase a weapon?

Best to move out of blue states into a red state. It may seem impossible but it can be done.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

I don't blame sellers for restricting their sales to specific states. I had a transfer denied because of a specific, obscure law that didn't readily show up during my initial search. It saves a lot of work and hassle to exclude 2A battleground states that are constantly shifting the legality of your inventory.
