I don't like using cards but in todays financial world there is no choice.
MOST restaurants charge an extra 3% for CC payments. I've said that they should offer a 3% cash discount instead!
I bought a full set of tires a couple years ago. I gave the cashier a choice of taking my credit card or personal check. She hesitated. I said you make less with the card, right? She agreed and took my check.
I'll never understand WHY someone has any complaints when a seller of ANY kind passes along the CC fees. Its only right that the person using the card pay the fees they charge. If you cannot send a check and avoid the fees that is your choice.
Some cards, like my Ford credit card and Discover card give close to 3% back to you on your statement and you can put that towards your bill. I never carry a balance, always pay them off each month.
So really, it ends up being a wash when I get charged to use a card......
All my on line purchases are made with a credit card. I never use them for local purchases, you have more protection with a credit card.
Agree. I have been able to retract payment more than once for unscrupulous dealers and sellers: They are out there.
