A weird day......started out pretty and had some high points but then some weirdness....
A beautiful sunrise to get rolling....
Then my bride suggested we run over to next town over and take care of a few things. The first stop was Bass Pro where I picked up a Christmas gift for myself...so far so good. Took a few shirts back for my son as we were wrong size wise at Academy Sports.. Next we had some great pizza for lunch.
It went downhill from there... Went to the eye doctor and for the first time in my 65 years, I ended up with glasses.... So I am still holding on at this point and then my bride said I need to go to the Mall........ I do not want to go, but I am not going to let her go to that cesspool alone.. We headed over and I followed her around through the nameless horde. At one point a 20ish female walked right into me. She was so involved on her phone she was not looking up. She gave me a dirty look like I had done something. People in pajama and slipper walking around. Just an interesting sea of humanity.
I was very happy to leave after about 90 minutes. We are safely back on the farm, I think I will stick pretty close for a few days until the weirdness fades from my memory.
How was your day after Christmas ?

Yeah, I agree with staying home as much as possible especially today. All the fruit cakes are out trying to get some kind of deals, clogging up the roadways and driving stupid.
All is well here at the house ......... Ahhhhhhh ..........................................
Hope you have good luck with your new glasses. I'm still cursin' mine after more than a month.
Good luck with the glasses.
Glad you made it back home safe and sound. The best 'field trips', are on the farm.
So true…..
Got to look out for them zombies on cell phones. You should've knocked her on her butt and said "excuse you" or "watch where you're going".
I am not going to the mall. Forget it.
How was your day after Christmas ?
It was absolutely perfect. 12 inches of snow, warm fireplace, leftovers, video games, and no jobs at all.

Whew!!!! I wouldn't go to a mall right now if it were filled with folding money I could pick up. I used to love going, but everyone there these days is in such a bad mood. It was a lot of fun to go and spend the day hanging out with friends.....doing a bit of shopping and getting something to eat.
I'm TRYING to get my week handled here, so I'll be focused on that and not leaving for anything. I do need to go get tires put on my car sometime. I called to see if they had them in stock and weren't covered up.....Uniroyals for $862.98 was the quote and they are in stock, so if I CAN I will go get that handled today.
There you go, Locust Fork. Women love malls. Men hate malls.
