Life was better for us citizens when judges were afraid of rope.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
The Second Amendment hasn't existed with any teeth in America since 1934.
The judge was simply speaking the truth.
Brad Steele
Typically, the judicial branch should be the ones to course correct in such a situation, yes?

Yawn ……. New York is a DEMOCRAT supermajority state, like Don said judge was speaking the truth.
From what can tell the other 9 in the Bill of Rights are meaningless in DEMOCRAT controlled NY.
It’s the second amendment for a reason. Not the 8th or the 10th. Because with out the second amendment there wouldn’t be any others. Just another Communist judge making up the rules to her liking.
I reckon the Chinese will set up shop in that neck of the woods. Nice and easy take over.
Sounds just like CT next door
Someday soon I hope this socialist/communist state will be in my rear view mirror as I cross the Delaware into Pa. headed South. Willie Jr. my new pup is excited to check out my house and three acres in Kents Store, Virginia.
Couple weeks ago I cleaned out whole kitchen and pilled it up in living room. My daughter picked it up last week and took it all upstate. Stuff will go to my grandson who will set up housekeeping with his GF of over two years. Only things left are two frying pans, toaster and microwave.
My daughter is trying to get a surveyor to do property that I deeded to her so she can start to put up fencing for her two horses and build a barn.
Things will never change in NY State. I have been fighting the Cancer that permeates the legislature in Albany since before Mario Cuomo. It has metastasized and for me the patient has died. I pray to God that I will live long enough to throw off the yoke of oppression that this state has cast on me. ———————-Ray
Ideally yes, but with judges being agenda driven political appointees, the judicial branch is probably the most corrupt branch in government today.
Brad Steele
Fortunately, SCOTUS is about the best it has been in that regard in many years. But the bulk of the lower courts are total trash, yep.

The judge needs to learn. Without a constitution she is just another ambulance chaser out of a job. Only a liberal would denounce the document she swore an oath to uphold.
There is this fella, Bob Schulz who I suppose you could say ramrods a organization called "We the People" in NY State who is a avid defender of the 2A and Bill of Rights. He tried to speak up for gun owners and against NY Safe (unsafe) Act of 2013 and appeared before three Appellate Court judges in Albany. With tears in his eyes he tried to speak up for us all and these three judges looked down their noses and told him he could only speak for himself and they disallowed all his request. In my whole life I have never seen such an "Abuse of Power"
Yes, the three JUDGES were appointed by Andrew Cuomo.———————Ray
The second amendment does not exist anywhere within the borders of the United States…..
I am not a lawyer, but a statement like that from the judge - especially in pre-trial - would seem to me to be an automatic appeal winner.
