Patton's Prayer by Alex Kershaw. I'm a little surprised at a WWII book being published almost 80 years after. I am about half way through it and it holds my interest—well written.

WWII would have been much shorter if Eisenhower had turned Patton loose in Europe instead pandering to Montgomery and Churchill. Even shorter if Roosevelt had focused on honoring commitments to Britain instead of on getting elected to a third term.
Patton was murdered because he didn't go along with the good 'ol boys. Don't get me started on JFK.
The famous picture of Patton peeing in the Rhine was taken by my uncle and an official copy of it notarized by the War Department is still in my family.
I never got to talk to my uncle before he died, but he must have seen some amazing things as a war photographer. He ended up marrying a German woman at the end of the war.
Do you have an original print?
Just the copy issued by the War Department, and it was released to my uncle. The exposed roll of film at the time belonged to the US Army, and not him. The copy does certify him as being the original photographer.
That's pretty cool right there! My dad thought the sun rose and and in Patton's hiney
