Do you recall which unit of Ten Mile Creek you have hunted before? I just found a unit that is maybe 15 min from my cabin. The guy I hunted with this weekend said that is where he got his monster.

If huntin' is a sport, then your lookin at an athlete- T-shirt

Gun bans have never accomplished anything, other than to create a safe working environment for criminals.

Glad you like that call. I met the owner, and bought one for myself, and was real impressed. They make some nice turkey calls also.

I did want to make sure that they got your name right, because they called 2 times to confirm it.

You asked me a few days ago to shoot my bow in the late evening to see if the sight was to bright and wouldn't be able to see the target. I shot until dark last night. I had to turn the lights on on the truck to get back up the driveway. I was still able to see the target. the pins were not so bright that you couldn't see beyond them.
I am dialed in enough now that I am feelin good about hunting but would like to have a few more days to fine tune and just plain practice. Blazers fly great.

How come you never see any topics or magazine articles about gay (not the happy kind either) archers? [:I]
Figured you'd be the best to ask. [:0][;)]

Every broadhead manufacturer says their broadhead flies like a field point. Truth is: I really don't think ANY fixed broadhead does. You'll have to buy them and shoot them to see how they will shoot.

Slick Tricks might shoot dead on like a FP in my bow, but be 10" off target in your bow. Every bow will shoot them different. Just as every gun likes it's own special load.
Half of the lives they tell about me aren't true.

    A. Gun - I bought a package of 100 grain Slick Tricks last time I was at Cabelas. I normally shoot 100 grain 3-blade Muzzys and they consistantly shoot a little to the right (about 2-4") from where my field point shoot at 20 yards. So, during hunting season I adjust my sights to match where my Muzzys hit. The first shot I took with the Slick Tricks hit right were my field points hit. Now, I have only shot them twice, and they are still hitting where my field points hit. I am not going to use them this year because I don't want to mess with my sights during the season, but I am hopeful that come spring, I will have my field points and broadheads hitting in the same place all the time.

Sounds like I might ahve to go back to "cut on contact" style heads. I always preferred fixed blades but I hated moving my sights, or having to waste a head for practice.

Try the rage 2 blade. [:D] Right buckey[;)].

In all honesty I really like the hole they make. I have never seen a hole that big. But until they fix the set screw issue I'll be lookin at something different next season. And I think the blades need to be a little more durable. Holy bejeepers on the hole they create though! I'm talkin' put your fingers together like kung fu, karate chop man and that will fit in the hole. If you can afford a "disposable" BH then Rage is what you need.
If I am lucky enough to get another animal I'll try to remember to get a pick of the hole.

I think I will stick with the 2 blade for next season. Maybe, might try the piston points. We'll see what next season brings for me.

    Anybody else drinkin yet? [:D]
