Walther PP question

This Walther has a few odd marks on it....the birds are not the typical birds on these. I have also found a little number 8c on the very back of the gun. I would appreciate any info you guys could give on this gun. Thank you VERY much.

I have an older Walthers PP is 32 ACP. It is a WWII Nazi Officer's gun. The question I have is on the top inside of the slide there is a dent about 1/3 of the way from the back. I think the dent is the result of the hammer hitting the spot as the slide is recoiling to the rear. Is this normal? It doesn't seem to hurt the function of the gun. It works fine.

"Eagle N" was the standard German commercial proof mark from early 1940 on. Per the serial number, your PP probably dates from late 1940 time frame.

What would the strange TEEENY mark on the very back be....it may be a number 8 and a small letter c really close together. 8c I have no idea what it is....but it is behind the hammer. Thank you rufe for the eagle N info. The blue book I have handy has dates going back to the 50s but not anything before that....and my proof mark book was "borrowed" I have recently found.
