Antique split bamboo fly-rod set-----value ???

I need to talk to a vary knowledgable fly rod dealer to figure the value of a antigue fly rod set and reel to help settle an estate. the Rod set is a MONTAGUE REDWING SPLIT BAMBOO SET MADE BY MONTAGUE ROD AND REEL CO, Montague Mass. This set was made in the 40`s and has the base rod, center rod and [2] tip rods, various weights. This set is still in the origional green cloth bag and it also has the origional storage metal tube with label. The cork handle is like NEW and so are the rods, bindings and finishes on the rods. the Reel is a Perrine Mfg. Co Free Spinning No. 50 with the ORIGIONAL WOVEN LEATHER LINE, MADE IN Minneapolis Minn.
real works well, needs to be cleaned, has lost some finish on edges. Any help with the value would be APPRECIATED !!!!!! Thanks, Hatchettman

    These rods are fairly common and, if an 8 footer, might be worth as much as $200, with the reel being worth $35 or so. Automatic fly reels are just not that collectible of valuable. Deduct $25 if the rod is a 9 or 9 1/2. I've never heard of, or seen, leather line. These prices would be for mint condition. Nothing special or rare about this outfit. Condition is everything. Also, a dealer will not consider these to be "antique", but, would call them "vintage" at best. The set might look nice on someone's wall, but, there are far better fishing outfits to be had for that kind of money.
