Blue claws are sooo great to catch with kids...

Piece of chicken on a string with a dip net is all it takes.

The blue claw crab is one feisty creature!

And,as far as i'm conserned, the tastiest crustation in the sea!!!!
Once U understand the anatomy of the crab, their a sinch to pick and chow on..
I always throw them fiesty little buggers in a cooler w/ice,it don't kill'em but, they slow way down.
Then i take the top shell and gills/guts out before cooking/steaming them.
You'll use 1/10 the seasonings and get 10x the flavor.
Bring old bay lemon and fresh garlic, along with salt and a little cayanne to a rolling boil, drop cleaned crab in and bring back to boil.
Turn off heat and cover for 5 min.ENJOY W/COLD BEVERAGE OF CHOICE as long as it's beer...
I prefer mine chilled(the crab)but, their also great hot...

THATS IT!! I'm gonna go get me a doz.in the AM!![:p]

That does sound good. Is there much meat on those things. The only crabs we have around this area is the ones at the truck stop restrooms and who wants to catch them.

Steam or broil those blueclaws with some old bay seasoning...

Crack and eat with some beer. Almost heaven on earth!
