    All M-16/AR-15's will fire blanks. All you need is a blank adapter that fits over the muzzle of the weapon (this causes the back preassure to cycle the bolt). We used them in the service alot durring training.

    and you won't have the blank-firing-adapter on the muzzle. Better for the "Hollywood" version.

    find a cheap used AR-15 with a 20 inch barrel and put some lead, solder or even JB weld in the bore. Just keep the filler forward of the gas tube. Of course used for ONLY blanks. If the weapon looks a little rough, that just makes it more realistic lol.
