Another fake head move to convince we the people that the two-party system is concerned about how they run the budget into debt and despair for The average citizen.

They don't! You & they can vote until hell freezes over it will never happen,Until the reset with The NWO system comes on line.

A balanced budget amendment to the Constitution went down to defeat in the House on Thursday after conservatives failed to garner the supermajority needed to send it to the Senate.

The vote was 233-184, short of the two-thirds majority needed for passage.

While fiscal hawks in Congress backed the proposal ? which would require Congress not to spend more than it brings in ? Democrats argued the vote was a gimmick to help Republicans save face amid an explosion in federal deficits.

It's almost laughable to hear democrats cry about deficits and the debt. It took 232 years and 43 presidents to come up with 10 trillion dollars in debt. It only took Obama 8 years to do it. In fact 90%+ of the national debt can be laid at the feet of 3 presidents. Clinton, Bush (43, and Obama. Proof positive that you can't fix stupid.

When it comes to spending both parties are guilty as hell. Neither party wants to do anything about it just as they don't want to do anything about illegal immigration, border security etc. All they seem to agree upon is committing this country to endless wars.....17 years and counting.

Your talking about "Dollars" that have less & less value. Just because earlier presidents added less in numbers doesn't mean they added less to the total. Reagan added far more than his fair share as of course did Johnson. You would have to use inflation adjusted numbers to compare them. Trump is well on his way to being the worst with his Republican tax cuts for the rich.

The dollar has no value other than perceived. Nixon took us off the gold standard and the dollar is now backed by the "full faith and credit" of the US government which is hardly reassuring. It's a fiat currency with no actual value other than it's the accepted median of exchange. The Federal Reserve has done more to destroy the value of the dollar than anything/anyone else.

Other presidents don't get a pass from me over the national debt but it doesn't change the fact that most of the debt was caused by the three stooges, Clinton-Bush-Obama. Inflation is immaterial since those numbers are often as phony as our currency and have been for many years. Don't forget that housing, food, and energy costs aren't even factored into the CPI. It's astonishing that the 3 most expensive costs we incur on a daily basis don't count in the inflation equation.

Obama; worst president in history, he made Jimmy Carter look intelligent. He accrued more debt in 8 years than all presidents in this country's history combined. A feat previously held by Bush 43.

Bush 43; Doubled the national debt on his watch not to mention he embroiled this country into non ending wars. 17 years and counting. He certainly wasn't the brightest bulb in the box now was he.

Clinton; he was more lucky than good. He waltzed into office as the country was coming out of recession and left office as it was going back into recession. He couldn't get a 16 billion dollar stimulus package passed the congress when he took office but he gave us NAFTA and the human humidor, WOW! (NOT!)

Bush 41; Never really got a read on him, he's something of an enigma.

Reagan; Did some good thing economically but with the help of a democratically controlled congress turned us from a creditor nation into a debtor nation and that has continued to this day. Not a good thing to be sure.

Carter; Until Obama came along Carter was the worst president in history. An absolute moron.

We could go on and on, Ford was a blundering dolt, Nixon really was a crook, Johnson was a thug, Kennedy was a womanizing jerk who sold out the Turks during the Cuban missile crisis and then sold out the Cuban people at the Bay of Pigs. Hell, the last decent president was Ike and he had issues.

This Budget amendment was just what Serf states, it was a bull@#! head fake, a gimmick, political theater that they knew would go no where. It's not even symbolic and the dem's are being disingenuous when talking about deficits since they're responsible for a lot of it. This year the fed's expect to pay $363 billion dollars just to service the debt. Not one dollar to principal, that amount is just the interest payments. Just think what good that money could be used for instead.
