Obama may be playing a high card, he thinks if he nominates the GOP Nevada Governor he will force the hand of the GOP.

I would say not they will still stall the process, Obama knows Sandoval is left of GOP on healthcare and abortion.

Nice try wise guy

The funniest part about this is that most of the Republican Senators are left of what a Republican once was so most likely they will approve of just about any anti gun nominee. There will be several moderate republicans that will break away and side with the democrats in demanding hearings, put money on it. Republicans are not agenda oriented like the democrats, hence the reason they are so unsuccessful.

I'm hoping to god some Republican was smart enough to foresee this senario.
All they have to do is issue a statement (as McConnell seems to have) saying a new justice will be seated in 2017 and let it go at that.

I expected Obama to do this.

ANYONE Obama nominates will be a socialist. Maybe a slightly less obvious socialist to try to force the Senate to act, but still a socialist and ANY Obama nominee should be ignored.

The funniest part about this is that several hours before the OP started this version of Trolling for Fun & Enjoyment, Sandoval had already removed himself from consideration for the SCOTUS appointment.

There may be more politically clueless folks around here, but I haven't run across them.
