If you were the president, what global strategy would you employ for the United States to follow?

    (For starters)

Withdraw all US troops from Europe and Asia (Korea) and deploy them on our borders, both north and south, with orders to stop all invaders with whatever means necessary.

Cease all foreign aid (taxpayer funding) to foreign countries. Provide military hardware to countries like Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan on a for-profit basis only.

Engage in warfare only if attacked.

Use funding gained from sales of military hardware to institute a program for repatriation of all illegal foreign nationals.

Great policies, but that's not strategy. It's tactics.

Was going to line out some specific policies like RL, but I guess that's not what you're looking for.

How about this: America First, Rest of the world be dammed.

For over two hundred years, Great Britain and the Empire had a very simple strategy: oppose the strongest rival (European) power.

The British employed the same strategy in a smaller scale in various parts of their empire.

Contrast this to the United States' (a.k.a. Barack Obama) current policy of interfering in every small problem worldwide, willy-nilly, with no overarching goal.

Now that is the beginning of a sound strategy.

How would you go about it?

Strategy for dealing with the world... Follow the Constitution, Care for America and Americans first and lend a helping hand up to other nations seeking freedom.

Ist thing I would do is re establish States Rights! Move to decentralize Federal Government. And abolish Federal income Tax...Pay taxes to only the state you reside in.15% flat tax on purchases. No income tax.[;)]

Your suggestions, of course, are all internal, not global. But you have a good idea.

The cost of the federal government should be paid by the states based upon the number of citizens. Taxes should be collected by the states and then paid to support the federal government.

The federal government should NEVER deal directly with any individual citizen, nor should it have its own sources of revenue independent of the states.

All of the events resulting from the creation of federal income tax have been detrimental to the citizens.,
