When people support another Bush and reject Ron Paul it's a good indicator of the state of the republic. Between the liberals and the faux conservatives there is no chance without a major reset.

Paul has had a greater impact upon the cause for liberty than any public figure since the founders.

It was his Campaign for Liberty that birthed the Tea Party, and even though the Tea Party has taken any number of backward steps, the underlying value of the worth of the individual remains strong and is growing.

10 years ago, the GOP would have never considered a candidate like Rand Paul. Hell, even 6 years ago, Rand was shunned by the party elders and his campaign for his Senate seat received little support.

The concept of putting individual liberty above party has never had a place in either political party, but it is a concept that, in addition to its obvious value and righteousness, it taking its place within the hearts of the younger and more libertarian (read actual conservative) leaning members of the GOP.

I am looking forward to the next 10 years as the concept of smaller government and a less intrusive foreign and domestic policy takes shape within the GOP. It is the path to legitimacy and the path to respect for not only the party, but for the country as a whole.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

I owned a building in Sacramento I occupied an office upstairs that was used by Ronald Regan when he ran for Governor. When Regan was campaigning for President, as a Goldwater supporter the G.O.P. had grave doubts on whether he could be elected, that is why they choose a Rockefeller moderate GHB as V.P. When GHB ran for President he was never endorsed by Regan. No President since Polk has ever got all of the programs they have wanted.

I feel that Dr. Paul is outside the G.O.P. box and will be discredited by the major media similarly as to what is happening to Governor Christie, the only way effectively change any thing in Washington is by doing something that has never happened a truly third party, that has not been hijacked by either of our two major parties. McCain started out by campaigning to take the billions out of party politics but in the end all candidates he caved in to the pressures of the billionaires that run the U.S.

Hitler said it twice once in the twenties, and again in the thirties the "U.S.A. is all about money."
