Digital retinal imaging is a tool that is being used today mainly by eye doctors to study diseases of the eye," Shalev notes. "But our initial findings indicate that it may be a useful investigative tool for psychological scientists who want to study the link between intelligence and health across the lifespan."

    Star Fire !

The latter really has to grab your attention! To make the point, an earlier dictionary (prior to certain meanings being edited out of the text), The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language defines menstruum as: "A solvent, especially one used in extracting and preparing drugs. [Middle English, from Medieval Latin menstruum, solvent, originally `menstrual blood' (alchemists regarded the gold-transmuting solvent as similar to menstrual blood, which they believed transformed sperm in the womb into an embryo)]."

In the old testament women were required to live in a tent during menstrual cycle, It does not give the readers of that book a reason, my less than educated guess is it's so women could rag on each other, giving men peace.
