Trump considering privatizing the V.A

Trump must have read the latest report about just how ****** ** the V.A. has become. Looks like this will be the final decision fairly quickly.

Honestly, would it be better to have private industry responsible and accountable for their actions... OR a bunch of candy crush gamers who could care less?

With that amount of money involved how can crony capitalism not be * deep in the process?

The VA should have never been allowed to become the cesspool it is. Congress allowed it, knows about it and will do little to change it. There is too much power to be brokered with the BILLIONS spent.

Corporations for the most part don't become "cesspools". The bigger they are the LESS CESSPOOL LIKE they are. There is accountability from top to bottom. Private is Private,, I'd assume if one organization like UnitedHealth was doing a CRAPPY job, the insured would or could go to AETNA or many others.

This should be simple since the U.S.OWNS the V.A. and all the assets, real estate, buildings,, etc and employees are government employees.

Could be wrong about how the V.A. is structured but it should be a LEAD PIPE CINCH to totally eliminate the V.A. tomorrow.

All persons that are designated as VETS would immediately become a GROUP, similar to say IBM or Microsoft or Procter and Gamble.

All groups negotiate with health care facilities for set pricing and group is "scattered" all around the U.S. and can select their primary care providers and also approved hospitals.

The V.A. is just another CESSPOOL of government workers who don give a **** about anyone and are for all intents and purposes have guaranteed for life employment.

The V.A. hospital costs are about 140 billion per year and the vets get about 40 billion in help.

The more I think of it, the simpler it appears.

How does medicare work ?? actually who cares, set up the VA system, exactly the same, except it is for treatment due to "service" rather than age.

I'm sure the V.A. has some specialist doctors, care units, equipment and facilities. These functions should be integrated into the private system over a period of time so as to not impact the patients.

I'd imagine millions of pages of bureaucratic VA nightmare can be integrated in the same medicare system. Goal, eliminate one "box" on the organization chart called Veterans Administration.

Perhaps combining the federal monies to assist with the creation of a single payor universal coverage system would be a good idea.

I did not watch the video.

IMO, the government could screw up a one car parade and it's proven, the private sector preforms far better than letting the government control things. Obama care is totally screwed up and medicare/medicade isn't far behind.

Government intrusion must be limited to those things expressly allowed by the Constitution. In addition, it would be wise to remember that there is no such thing as "federal monies". There are only funds held by the feds after being confiscated from the citizens who earned them by their labor, production, and commerce.

    Sho nuff.
