Have you ever wondered why the states with the most toughest gun law are the ones that have the most crime in them involving... hey what do you know, GUNS!!!! Maybe if congress pulled thier heads out of thier * and realized that if everiebody stopped getting offended at everie little f^#king thing that is said then maybe we will have a better america. I am pro-gun, I think it would be cool to be able to own a fullie automatic "ASSAULT WEAPON" (uh oh) and go out to the woods and let some fly. I have an idea, Maybe if congress put like a big brothers system out for gun owners. Yea, a politician can hold your hand while he checks our diapers. Who would have ever thought that when we got older, we would still be looked at like children for having a passion. (Oh no, we like something that 1.relives stress. 2.Is fun. 3.gives us something to do after a f^#ked up day at work. 4.maybe its the onlie thing that has interesed us.) As for you anti-gun pussies, why dont you try letting some lead fly at the rang or in the woods and see how you feel afterwards. I bet you $100.00 that most of you would change your views and would feel a lot better afterwards.

Concerning dj_fatstyles, I can see where he's coming from, and we've all felt that way, but I think it's people who gripe like him that give gun rights advocates a bad name.

now we have 36 billion in drug related crime annually and armed gangs buying weapons thanks to money from drug sales. Thank you richard nixon. Plus, now there is terrorism.

If your beliefs aren't based in fact, TRUTH is the first casualty...
Kalifornia has unrestricted handgun ownership. NJ has a restricted firearm ID card that MUST BE APPROVED by JBT's.
Kali has unrestricted rifle and shotgun ownership. NJ requires an ID card for these purchases, also.
Both heavily restrict Homeland Defense Rifles as well as Class 3 items.
Firearm laws are uniform throughout the Republik of Kali, and localities cannot regulate the licensing or registration of firearms. NJ, on the other hand definitely does.
Research is showing me that Kali prohibits open carry in any incorporated areas, but has no such restrictions in rural areas. NJ is similar, but somewhat harsher.
Concealed carry permits are almost equally restrictive in both regions, and quite possibly, here is one of NJ's two advantages to gun rights over Kali (if you can call this a plus). Both regions do not recognize other permits, but NJ will issue permits to non-residents on a highly restrictive basis.
Vehicular carry in Kali involves unloaded, locked up storage, while this is no defense for NJ unless accompanied with an Identifation card.
Both limit mag capacity, but Kali loses here at 10 rounds, vs. NJ's 15 rounds.
The 2004 Traveler's Guide to the Firearm Laws of the Fifty States has Kali ranked at 40% of ideal. NJ, on the other hand, is ranked at 20% of ideal.
So, you tell me, which is worse?

Hey, I wouldn't grace either state with my presence. Only recently has Ohio gain concealed carry, and that is something that had me packing under sweat, right there. But now, that is over.
And I didn't ask which was better, because to me, that puts both states on a positive, and to me, they are both anything but that.

Educate your legislators, not by screaming at them, but by carefully reasoned e-mails, letters, and phone calls. Hint: You will find that they are more inclined to listen to you if the volume is not hurting their ears and the language not offending their sensiblities. If your frustration level gets the best of you, go out and run a few 30 round magazines through whatever you have that can do it just as fast as you can pull the trigger. You'll feel better and then can be a bit more reasonable.
In short, we'll do better in keeping our gun rights by changing public perception from "Gun Nut" to "Gun-Grabbing Nut".
Here's an area where you may get a little more leniency, though, as far as insulting gun grabbers is concerned. Local editorials.
I do this all the time (about more than just gun kontrol, too)
Never debate with a liberal. They are well trained at trapping you, and you are not going to convince any liberal that gun kontrol is evil, because most of them don't really know the difference.
At the same time, if you get a response from an idiot liberal, now is the time to INSULT HIS/HER INTELLIGENCE. Don't bother insulting them, and don't give a million statistics, either. Liberals scoff at logic and pragmatism, and their pathetically feeble minds don't grasp science well, either.
Keep your phrases short and sweet. Here are a few nasty ones:
1. Gun kontrol is racist, sexist and classist, and I won't support things like that.
2. Gun kontrol kills kids.
3. Am I the only one bothered by the fact that the NAACP and the KKK both have the same stand on disarming blacks?
4. Sure, and nutcases like that are a good reason why the rest of us should be armed, too.
5. Guns don't cause crime any more than spoons made Rosie O'Donnel fat.
6. Just because you can't be trusted to own a gun doesn't mean I can't be trusted to own one.
7. (Laugh at them)
8. As long as we have to play by these BS rules and the criminals don't, we're all going to lose, and you will have played a part in it.
9. You'll never get rid of all the guns. Your fight is a losing battle.

I viewed your post about loving our country. Jeeze
it sounds good but I have some reservations. Could/
would you define COUNTRY? Are we talkin' land? Do
you mean the people? Are you sure, giving the fact we
have had two terms of SLICK WILLIE and allow our returning
servicement to get screwed (ever since Viet Nam and probably before)
that you really want a government of the people, by the people.
Shucks...I believe we have that now!
Does "country" mean some theoretical "well being" feeling we
would get if we all had the same mind, same morals, same
community goals?
I'm not taking you to task. Actually you are one of my favorite
posters! I just don't get it! What is it I'm supposed to love?
What is it I'm supposed to be loyal to? I even have trouble
with our pledge of allegiance. I have no allegiance to our
flag and the republic for which it stands...although I have
allegiance to the flag for which it used to stand!
I don't trust the judgement of the American people. I don't
believe the general population as a whole has any morals. Do
you trust a people who can give you two terms of Slick Willie?
I'm seriously concerned....Our basic reliance on "freedom" and
having rights rest with the concept of a government of the people
and by the people. Hell the people have clearly demonstrated
they have poor judgement and no morals. And they are far too
willing to give away rights for handouts and special favors.
I'm terrified that my freedom and rights as a human being are
resting in "THE PEOPLE"! What's terrifying is that there is
nothing better available anywhere in the world.
What would those of us who don't like socialism and subjugation
do if, God forbid, we have President Hillary Clinton working
hand-in-hand with UN commander, Bill Clinton?
Hell, we already live in a society that says LEOs are not
obligated to protect us, but we are forbiden to protect ourselves?
That makes me feel secure, how about you?
Forgive me if I just can't make myself feel good about being
solidly in the "good hands" people of America. I'm not
comfortable relying on a degenerate society for my well being!
Tell me everything is going to be OK? I'm old, so tell me I
can die without fear my grandchildren will be sugjucated by a
corrupt society with a penchant for returning to the dark ages.
I'm dishearted....cheer me up!
I cannot give any comfort.Have struggled with exactly the same thoughts for many years..the realization that Joe Blow Fatso down the street with a beer in his hand and a tv clicker in the other can null and void my informed vote...
Perhaps its is time to demand that one pass a citizen test before voting...you know...have SOME faint idea what this country was founded on...the ideals thereof....
Love the land ? Land is land.....Instead love the ideals of freedom..the basic tenents of personal responsibilities..."Rugged individuals"...how long since you heard THAT ? The government is hellbent on making EVERY citizen dependent on IT for EVERYTHING..from cradle to grave...
Give up on people ? NEVER....pay attention.Around the Tulsa area...about once a week or so..we hear about ANOTHER homeowner subjected to yet ANOTHER break and enter perp....who SHOOTS said perp..killing the slug DEAD !!!! GOD,how the government hates this...citizens fed up to the gills with the busted legal system.....(GASP) TAKING THE LAW IN THEIR OWN HANDS !!!
This,my friend..is cause for celibration...because it indicates the fedgov propaganda is wearing thin in a certain segment of the people...people I chose to call AMERICANS..versus people merely living in America...
3 % OF the people living in the Colonies,1776-1780...fought the British. Those 3 % hold true today..about 7 milion Sons of Liberty. They are watching and waiting.....praying that sanity returns to the hallowed halls of Congress before it is just too late...Meanwhile....they obey the insane laws and 65% taxation...because they are NOT anarchists nor revolutionists...they are the backbone of this country.
Maybe not much, but at least some.....
Not everyone is asleep at the wheel. Thankfully.
The gene pool needs chlorine.
I'd like to convince the people that come shooting with me to join the GOA, because in my opinion, they are the best group out there.
I think it would be cool to be able to own a fullie automatic "ASSAULT WEAPON" (uh oh) and go out to the woods and let some fly.
Now tell me if you would want to be around when someone else "owned a fullie automatic "ASSAULT WEAPON" (uh oh) and go out to the woods and let some fly"??????!!!???[:0][:0][:0]

Sounds like shadow85 has some kind of problem with the class III full auto owners. I would like to point out that since 1934 there has been only 1 crime commited with a legally owned machine gun, and that crime was commited by a cop. Law abiding machine gun owners are statistically the most responsible and law abiding gun owners out there.
First of all it's Shadow83, why am I not surprised.
Second of all I have NO problem with anyone class III or otherwise. If you don't care if any moron could but a weapon and shoot up all over the place then please let me know where you live so I can stay miles away.
I have a problem with irresponsible people owning ANY firearm. Some idiot buys a full auto and goes out in the woods and lets some fly. Lead goes many different ways and one finds it's way through the woods to your house and kills your child, wife or even you. Say this idiot just lets them fly and strays make it through the woods and into a structure, or a propane tank. Either way it just makes the public more afraid of guns and adds more support for stronger gun control.
I am not saying anyone here has lead me to believe that they are stupid enough to do either of the above, but we need to appear responsible to gain the public's confidence if we are going to effectively combat cun control. As I have always believed, potential gun owners should be required to be educated in gun safety and prove themselves responsible enough to own a gun. If we don't do something soon more will become afraid and support bans and other controls.
I for one would turn in an irresponsible gun owner before they did something stupid enough to cause my guns to come into jeapordy.

The greatest danger we face as a nation and to our civil rights is the sweet sound of what passes for 'reason'...that which generally means we accept more gun control...more laws...more intrusion into our daily lives. All in the name of 'being safe'.....
We have truly become a nation of cowards.Unwilling to ensure our own safety...willing to allow paid mercenary's taking orders from far away places to control every facet of our lives...
A beautiful thing...posters proving my position for me.

You are TOTALLY correct!!! But unfortunatly it IS reality and the only way to deal with it is in real terms. Like the old saying, "You get more flies with honey than vinigar". I don't know why flies are used as bees would be more logical, but it makes the point.
I also look at it this way as I have tried to point out. There are some pretty stupid people out there and I have seen some of them at the range with a weapon in their hand. I would prefer that they NOT have that weapon (especially a fully auto one) and/or be educated and be proven competent. Guns are not toys and anyone owning one must be made aware of that. Ownership is a serious responsibility.
Shadow83
I have great love for humanity, it's just the people I can not stand.
It comes as no comfort to me because the actual price tag on a new full auto rifle or pistol prices are no different than the semi-auto versions of the same gun, and because they can no longer be manufactured, the prices of them is no less than 10 times the price of what it should be, and the thing is registered with JBT's, along with an agreement between you and them that they can search and seize without probable cause any time they want.
This should have everyone outraged, but it obviously doesn't, because so many of you, even the ones supposedly on our side of the issue, have been duped into the idea that these particular firearms should not be in the circulation of the public.
I believe that if any of us want to let loose on a full auto, then the responsibility of each shot is with the shooter, just as it is with the owners of any other gun that shoots anything. If that notion frightens any of us out there, then it will come as no comfort to any of us that other guns can reach out and touch someone, too.

To shadow85, I live in america now go away. Have you ever gone into the woods and let some rounds go? Most of the time you are at least 10-20 miles from the nearest house and most people, I think, I know I do. SHOOT INTO A VERRIE LARGE HILL. That way the projectile doesnt hit some little meanie child. Anyways, I heard that Bush was in Germany and someone was removed from a protest because he had a sign that read, "We had our Hitler, now you have yours." I couldnt agree more.
