Sen. Schumer, D-NY, is out of control!

While watching C-Span this last week during the final debates before the vote on "hr2356", the so-called campaign finance reform bill, ol' chuck schumer was up on the podium extolling his views on the part of the bill that directly attacks the first amendment (where no paid political ad may mention a candidates name for 60 days prior to an election)and he had the GALL to say, and I quote,"NO AMENDMENT IS ABSOLUTE"!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS GUY?!?? Unfortunately, the bill passed and the liberals have their foot in the door to destroy the 1st amendment, and believe you me, THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS IN THEIR SIGHTS NEXT!!!

We are soooooooo lucky to have both Schumer annnnd Hillary as our senators. I wanna puke. Having NYC in this state is revolting. We upstaters suffer for that. We are one of the few states that probbaly will never have a uniform concealed carry law because of liberal fear based NYC political ideology. Of course pataki betrayed the gun owners here for his own political ambitions, he's not much better.

My favorite was watching Robert Torricelli spew his anti first amendment rhetoric.

A few of us were talking the other day about our illustrious Senators and how well we like them. Is there a "code of conduct" or contract or an oath that they swear to uphold the constitution or anything like that? And if so, could it be proven that they havent done what they were supposed to do and be impeached? I know that this is a long shot but something has to be done.

Yes they did swear to uphold the Constitution, and they can be recalled by a pissed off constituency. But don't hold your breath. The same political machine that got them in office will keep them there until people get wise and get rid of the corrupt local officials who are stuffing the ballot boxes in NYC, Philly, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Kalifornication and other corrupt places.

    For Teehouse,

Where do you live in Kalifornia? I used to live in the Bay area and worked for the People's Republic of Palo Alto. I was one of the last real Americans there. I took the flag when I left in 1990.

    O K Burfurd,
You got me curious. I went to Amazon and looked up the book. After reading the reviews, I spent $24.

Reminds me of a Clinton interview on MTV back in '94 or '95. Slick Willie was extolling his views on gun control, when someone in the audience pointed out that the right to keep and bear arms is guaranteed in the constituiton. Clinton looked right at the person and said "If that's in the constitution, then we'll have to find a way around it." I'm surprised that not many people picked up on that at the time.
