What will actually trigger this Civil War ?

nyforesternyforester Member Posts: 2,575 ✭✭✭
Will it be 100,000 million people deciding not to pay their taxes (property and income) ?

Will it be an assassination(s) ?

Will it be a raid by the People of the U.S. on the Government ?

Will it be the final gun ban ?

Will it be the stock market crash ?

Will it be you losing your job, house, ect.... ?

Will it be another stimulus package to give illegal mexicans free health care ? (this one would put me over the edge)

Any other ideas are welcome.

My head hurts right now. 2 People in my company got laid off today. I am really pissed off, confused, and totally fed up with these clowns in Government !

if you mean an actual Civil War, with massive uprisings, no, I don't think that will happen.

Complacency is the order of the day anymore, that and apathy.

That is not to say that I or anyone of the members of the GB forums would sit back and do nothing, But 95% of the population would not revolt.

JMHO, your mileage may vary, results not typical etc...

That is probably the $64,000 question. There is no way to know what the 'defining' moment could be. And thus, the government (and it has never gotten smaller) tries to 'avoid' defining moments by imposing their will in baby steps............boil the frog slowly. Generally it amounts to taking more of what you have, and using it to buy votes from others. Thus, stealing 'your' power, and making it theirs.

This technique allows them to gradually numb the public to their growing control, and not give enough cause to create a 'defining moment', or ignition of the powder keg fuse.

Personally, I would prefer a 'complete' economic and social collapse. It would be ugly, but is probably the best way to start over. To continue the course that we are on is just leading to more government control of the citizenry, as now the majority of voters are lazy, and have grown dependent on momma government, rather than themselves.

Most now believe the 'government' is their source. I never thought I'd live to see it.

But, as far as the thread topic, watch for the 'baby steps', and fight them with your voice and your pen, and not just on the message boards.

that's curable by deteriorating economical conditions. ideological revolution has already happened, and most people will be complacent while their can feed and procreate.

it's a *, but i think we're looking at some sort of swedish model and centralized government for as long as it can foreseen. highly doubt states will do anything to change that either. would love to see a different situation but it is highly unlikely in modern society.

    close.....
how about when obama grants amnesty to the millions (50mil by some estimates) of illegals, and then thru chain migration, their families are allowed to become citizens as well.
some estimate that 99% will register as democrats.
that leaves the potential of 100,000,000 new democrats, essentially creating a 1 party system (the republican party will be reduced to the level of today's independant party, comaratively speaking).
i think that the realization as to what that implies (gun grabbing, socialism, unchecked immigration, etc) might be enough.

i sure as hell hope so.

Depends Pete, on who you are talkin to.

The issue of citizenship of B.O. is, calling the militia to readiness.

Read my post in the thread about militia status. The call is going out.

Well we see what happened to the militas once a couple feds showed up , they all hid there camos and ran away to hide. I know the leader of the Illinois Militia which is now just a drunkin memory, once the feds made him and his people unconfortable.

The only people who will really fight is those that have nothing left to lose. Those people are not organized and generaly weak of mind and resourse.

The cival war is already over U missed it.

It was in 1913 then again in 1968 then 1986. Too late , just prepare to protect yourself.

I read that....very interesting. Not sure how to take it.....

If there is a total collapse of the system and we do start over, will we need a new Declaration, Constitution, Bill of Rights ???

Who will draft them ? How will my ideas (and yours) be incorporated into these documents ? Will we have a say ? Will it be worse than what we have now ?

So many questions....not enough bullets !

why would we need another constitution? We have one. We are not trying to change our system, we are trying to make them adhere to the law of the land. We have a system that works in place we need only ensure that politicians do not ignore and meanieize it

I don't think we need to rewrite it. I do however, think there is MUCH clarifaction that needs to be done.
Aside from the 2nd amendment, how about banning ANY lawyers from serving ANY political office. How about TERM limits for ALL positions of government?

First things first, we must reinstate freedom and justice.

    What will trigger it?

As for me, the first time someone from the government points a gun at me or a member of my family, it's on!!

Up to that point, if it gets too bad, we'll just leave. If a foreign threat requires me to put my uniform back on and fight for this country again, that's OK, too. But point a gun at one of mine, no matter what kind of trumped up reason, and all bets are off.

Clarification is good. The founders were clear, but with the change of vernacular, it has allowed erosion. This must be covered.

Executive orders would be erased and never allowed again, although I think they are already dis-allowed as it removes checks and balances, but clarification on this would ne necessary to prevent it again.

Term limits for members and term limits for armed civilian "Oversight" in the Congressional chamber and Supreme court. A member who even introduces un-Constitutional legislation, or a judge which legislates, would be removed immediately by force. This would eliminate special interests.

Immediate elimination of Fed Reserve, and anyone associated with it.

Bingo, JP - the FED made all of this possible.

I don't know JP, I think it stands as written. The only reason it has been meanieized is because of our lack of dilligence, and self absorbtion.

We as a populace have failed our founding fathers, not the government. They put in place all the mechanics we needed to stop this from happening, and we have allowed it as a group.

The lesson to be learned here (in my opinion) is to never give another inch of ground. Force the constitution back down the throat of our leaders and stay unwaivering in the face of opposition to make them comply. If they refuse to listen then they need removd from office, and replaced with those who wish to serve the people, not themselves.

Sorry for the lecture, but I believe the constitution is good as originally written

I believe that 2nd Amendment issues are the only catalyst that could push us over the brink...and into another Revolution...I think the American sheeple will just blindly accept anything else that comes down the pipe.

At that point you have lost the ability to "change" anything that is thrown forth.

True, but from what I understand, 'most' of the colonists were docile sheep also.
