    In a lot of states, we have made progress in the concealed carry arena, since this article was first published 11 years ago. Not enough progress yet, but we are headed in the right direction. If you ask me, a Vermont style carry law "nationwide" should be the ultimate goal. You alone have the responsibility for defending and protecting yourself. A law abiding citizen should be "allowed" to have the means to accomplish this task.

    Only worry I have about admitting that the Feds can "give" you a national carry right is that also lets them "take away" that right. Might be best left to the states.

    You guys should read the whole book.

    You pair up the Jeff Snyder "Nation of Cowards" book up with Dr. John Lott's books, "The Bias Against Guns", and "More Guns, Less Crime", and you are ready and armed to intellectually assail the likes of any anti-Freedom idiot, and may well have what it takes to deflate incoming viktim disarmament edikts.
