lake city brass 223

rollnblockrollnblock Member Posts: 384 ✭✭✭
i got a bunch of lake city brass in 223 rem. going through it ive noticed head stamps that look like dates. ive got a bunch of 76 and 81 with a few of each year? in between. im just wondering how much differance there would be in the brass? im not going for pinpoint accuracy. mostly prarie dog shooting. will there be much differance in impact with the same load in differam lots of brass?

Depends on internal capacity. Try filling some of each stamp with water and see how many grains of H20 they will hold or just weigh the empty brass and compare the weight to give you an idea of what you have. If there is quite a bit of difference they probably won't have consistant accuracy if your shooting for small groups vs combat accuracy.................
