95 gr. BT's get the job done again...

n/an/a Member Posts: 168,427
.243

The deer took one step, reared up on his hind legs and fell over backwards...dead as a door nail...busted up some ribs pretty good. Cassidy took some more lessons on gutting a deer...preparing for her's next year.[8D]

Update:
Actually...make that 3 dead deer today. Nosler BT's all the way[8D][;)]

As usual the .243 diameter 95 gr Ballistic Tip did it's excellent job again, despite what some people think about them.

as if there were any doubt about the almighty nosler balistic tip hunting bullet.[8D][:D][xx(] They work every time, no if's and's or but's.

why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
    Got Balistics?

The first one (actually the second), was slightly quartered away. I went for the boiler room. It was a trough and through shot, but the bullet busted up some ribs pretty bad...so bad in fact that some rib fragments tore one hell of a hole in the deer well below the bullet exit hole. This one was probably 100 yards away. The third one was a broad side at 100+ yards and it was also a through and through shot which broke up some ribs...some of the fragments sliced the organs up pretty good. He tried to run a few yards before collapsing. For medium sized game, I don't think there is a better bullet out there. Cass hunted with me, so these were close range shots...so she could see the action.
