I bought a Hornady Lock-N-Load and love it, 1000 free bullets doesn't hurt either. Also if you buy a 9mm or something very easy to switch. One problem with starting on a progressive can be a little overwhelming for a new reloader. If you know someone that reloads it will really help for setting up and getting started.

You'll get people that say blue and that say cheap(LEE). I would buy Hornady if I had to do it again.

I would avoid a progressive press to learn how to reload, it's just asking for trouble IMHO. Learn on a single stage kit where you focus on each step one at a time. I got a lee kit over a year ago and I'm happy with it. Go to http://www.midwayusa.com/ and read reviews of the different kits. The hornady single stage kit will get you 500 free bullets, so you may want to factor that into your cost/decision. https://www.hornady.com/get_loaded.php
