They look nice. Bubba was not involved. Not sure why they stamped custom, do you have any fire formed brass? They could be old enough to be wildcats before standardization.

Have you compared the letter to German Script?

Both guns are marked with the correct caliber 22-250 and 25-06.
Both guns are extremely accurate. No I have no way of checking German script but that does sounds like a good idea. Thank you for the input.

Didn't A.O. Niedner have a hand in the 25-06 design?

Those stocks look very much like ones that Fajen sold back in the day. I have one on a heavy barreled .244. It could be that whoever built your rifles used Fajen stocks. The lack of checkering on the one further suggests that to me. I wonder if you've taken them out of the stocks to see if any hints are there. I have a Remington 1903 that has a whole paragraph carved into the stocks barrel channel!

And as charliemeyer007 said; both cartridges were wildcats in the 60's and were standardized later. I have a Mauser that I had barreled by Flaig's in .25/06 when it was still a wildcat. Remington standardized the .22/.250 before I got around to having one built.
