Thank you for the link and the posting of the difference on .223 and 5.56x45 chambers.

I have been trying to explain this to folks for years. I have actually had people cuss at me about it.....a picture is worth a thousand words!!
I always hear that 5.56x45 is loaded to higher pressure.
SAAMI MAP is 55,000 PSI, right?
Chapter 10 of US Army TM 43-1000-27 shows the pressures of all current loads that they use for 5.56x45. None (except the high pressure test round) exceed 55,000 PSI.
Again, thanks for the pics and excellent explanation.

I was agreeing that the info provided was indeed good stuff, while simultaneously stating that the whole .223/5.56 "thing" had been around the block a few times..WTH?!?
[?][?] Please take whatever the problem is to some other thread.
This is just a thank you to two of the most knowledgeable and helpful folks on this forumm.

Back on track here.......will a mod please get rid of the "misunderstanding" stuff so it doesn't take away from the purpose of the thread.
ETA: My signatures are turned off. That's why I had no idea what he was talking about.
