Help on Identifying 30-06 Brass Manufacture

Ivan9686Ivan9686 Member Posts: 38 ✭✭
I just picked up some range brass and I don't recognize the head stamp on some. Can someone help with the following and which are military rounds with crimped primers?

HXP
FC
TW
K
LKA

Thanks

Good visual inspection will tell you which primers are crimped. The usual style is a full ring, there are some that use 3 dashes at about 120 degree spacing.

I hand deprime with a punch and a base those crimped primers and ream the crimp with a lyman hand tool. A clip blade pocket knife will work if you are careful. There are primer pocket swages that work in your press, some are better designed/working than others.

I think FC are federal and TW is twin city
