I've been loading 4.1 grains of Unique for years.
Anyone want to share what they use?

My really old Lyman book (no cover no clue as to the date - 50's?) list a 90 gr cast 311245 max 4.5 gr of Unique @ 1000 fps for good quality smokeless revolvers. The Lyman 49th edition has a Sierra 90 gr HC jacketed in the pistol data as the potentially most accurate load; max 4.8 gr of Unique @ 864 fps.

Added I checked the old book again for 90 gr cast both 5066 and Unique are 4.5 gr @1000 fps. Bullseye 3.6 gr @1060 fps and Number 6 is 3.9 gr @1040.

Under the RIFLE DATA 85 gr cast 311419 is 6.0 Unique @1680 fps; 110 gr cast 31133 5.5 gr Unique @1500 fps

The 1953 and 1960 Lyman book shows 5.8 gr. Unique at 1160 fps. It shows 4.5 gr. of 5066 at 1000 fps. Did you accidently read that column?
    Added: thank you for checking.

The Police positive being a light weight revolver.
I will keep the loads light.
I was hoping to get information on other light loads.

My notebook is out in the shop, but I've got real good results using a 90gr Truncated Cone bullet from a Lee mold. Powder Coated and loaded a bit warm.

They shoot great in my Win 92 carbine as well. In fact, they shoot great in the carbine.[:D]
