Is $35-$40/1000 for small rifle primers the going rate?

If I needed them and that was the price, I would buy them...the difference between 25 bucks and 40 bucks for 1000 is 1.5 cents a round...no big deal here...

I didn't have any and none of the stores in town except one had any, so I paid the $36 for them. Id had been a while since I bought any. Last I bought were $11/1000, so I was wondering if that was the new price, or if the store knew that he was the only one in town that had any.

In my mind at this time, if you can get 1000 of any type primer at a local store for under 40 bucks that aint bad..sad but true...SP and LP primers around here were around 25 bucks per 1000 2 years ago...SR about 3 bucks more per 1000

    30-40 per brick.

    27-32 per pound on powder.

I swapped some extra powder for primers recently. They turned out to be corroded on the rear but all shoot.
They probably came out of a store at a beach town.
    Boxes all looked perfect.
    I paid $40/m a few years ago.
I still have some old Remington in wooden grooved trays.
They produced a few duds and will just go into plinking reloads.
I wouldn't use old primers in guns having light striker falls.
