Rubber fletching?

idsman75idsman75 Member Posts: 13,398 ✭✭✭
I was downtown today so I stopped at Siouxland Sports (the best archery shop on this side of Iowa).

The guy that runs the shop showed me RUBBER FLETCHING! He says it's great stuff and is even more durable than plastic vanes or feathers. He says that it will take 14 feet/second off arrow speed compared to conventional fletching but he says it works great and stands up to abuse better.

Has anyone seen this?

I've bought some, but I've yet to put them on any arrows. Everything that I've heard about them is good, but I don't have any experience with them yet.

There's a guy at my local bow shop that uses them. He really likes the durability of them. As far as losing speed he cranked his bow up and didn't lose much.
