I finally got a shot off.
I've been seeing some but not great numbers. The EHD a couple years ago put a whammy on them.
My ground is mainly a river with about 10 yards of trees then fields.
I've only seen one scrape and rub on the whole property.
Sunday, it started snowing and I decided to go out for an evening hunt. Saw mostly young deer off and on.
Has a doe with a forky and a another 1 1/2 year old running around. The doe had enough of the fork and crossed the river with the fork following.
The poor "odd man out" made the mistake of not following them.
It walked pretty much right to me and offered me a 7 yard broadside shot. [:D]
She went about 50 yards and that was it.
