Uberti Yellow Boy

I recently got a Yellow Boy 44-40 cal in a trade. The friend I got it from shot it very little and only used black powder. My question is: can I use a light load of smokeless in this rifle? If so, do you have any recommended loads? The rifle is in like new condition. Thanks. Emery

    all the Uberti's are good for smokeless as well as black powder. I'm afraid mine in 45colt ans 38 spl have diverted my attention from your caliber. Best suggestion is to try the IMR and Hodgdon websites. They both have loading data specifically aimed at CAS. Good Luck, Doc
