Kodiak .50 cal muzzleloader load

I just picked up a Kodiak double barrel .50cal blackpowder. Does anybody have a pet load for one on these? Thanks- al

    If you were to use 70 grains of blackpowder or blackpowder substitute, you would have the equivalent of a 50-70 metallic cartridge rifle, such as a Sharps, Springfield trapdoor, Remington rolling block, or others.

    I have a Kodiak in 58 caliber and I use the same load as in my original Civil war muskets, 60 grains behind a patched round ball or a 505 grain Minie ball.

    I have a .58, I use .315 gr. .575 wad cutter and 60gr ffg, light recoil and surprisingly accurate. Have fu, very nice gun
