Will a K frame hammer fit a standard commercial Model 10?

It will unless it is a hammer for the K-22 (M-17).

That's all correct, but let me add one additional caveat. Many people incorrectly identify the older .38 Hand Ejector Military & Police guns as 'Model 10'. There is a difference between these older "long-action" guns and the post-1957 "Model 10."

If your gun has the model designation on the inside of the crane, then the current K-frame hammers will work. If it is a pre-war long action, then you must use the older hammer.
