Mauser broomhandle - made in China?

Hi, experts!
I understand there are a lot of Mauser broomhandles that are made in China. Some even have marks of 'waffenfabrik', 'Mauser', and 'Oberndorf A Neckar' imprinted on them.
My question is - is there a quick and reliable way to tell that Mauser broomhandle is germane-made vs. china-made? I mean, if it doesn't have hieroglyphs...
Thanks in advance to all!

Well, the Chinese copy I have has the s in Mauser backwards. Also the other references are sloppily applied- letters uneven in height and space. It was cheap though and a good shooter with the light loads that I make for it.
All in all, crummy quality is a dead giveaway.

This is the best site on the net, regarding broomhandles.

After you go through it you will have no trouble telling the difference between the German & Chinese versions.

Even the genuine Mausers that went to China will have Chinese markings on them.

Stankemp is correct that this is the most common of ways to spot a copy. Nonsensical letters and symbols in the name and address are a dead givaway.

    Thanks, everyone.
The info is very useful, esp. the http://www.1896mauser.com site.
I guess now I'll be able to spot china-made guns when I handle them. But correct me if I'm wrong - it seems to me that it's very hard to spot the china-made piece judging by the photo only.
I mean when seller is honest and spell it out (like vagg4 in
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=79085366), it's easy. Plus from the close-up photos it can be seen that on the Mauser banner trademark on the left side of the frame letter `A' is up side down; and push-button on the rear sight is on the left side, not on the right. On the other hand, there is a crowned letter `U' above serial number on the left side at the base of the barrel - just like on the real McCoy.
But if it's just a one or two general view photos, and I want to be sure, are there some specifics/details on the gun, that I can ask the owner to take pictures of, and by looking at those pictures to spot a china-made Mauser?
    Thanks again four your time.

my Chinese broom is marked as being Chinese, no mention of Mauser anywhere, and appears to be very well made...
