I have a savage 720 and would like to make it my slug gun for deer hunting. Can I get a slug barrel for the gun? Can I put a scope on it and what is the best way? I have searched around alreay and do not seem to find one. Is it possible to have lands cut into the barrel for spiral. I would rather find a slug barrel, designed to take 3" shells.

The Savage 720 was designed for 2 3/4" shells. Magnum 2 3/4" and 3''shells might take the receiver apart.

THIS IS AN OLDER SHOTGUN, AND HASN'T BEEN MADE FOR 50+ YEARS. YOU COULD HAVE A SLUG BARREL MADE FOR IT BUT THIS WOULD COST FAR MORE THAN THE GUN IS WORTH. ALSO, LIKE V35 SAID, THE SHOTGUN WAS NEVER INTENDED FOR MAGNUM AMMO. GO AND BUY A REM. EXPRESS SLUG GUN, YOU'LL SAVE MONEY AND HAVE A BETTER GUN.
