Stevens No. 200. The first 20 gauge pump action shotgun. Patented by Charles "Sparrow" Young (Hall of Fame trapshooter) and George S. Lewis (employee of Stevens) in 1910 and 1912 respectively. Patents assigned to Stevens. Handled 3 inch 20 gauge shells. Weighs about 5 3/4 to 6 pounds. Safety on top tang. Two good articles on the Stevens No. 200 by a guy named D. F. Breen. One in Guns & Ammo Magazine, February 1968 and the other in Gun Digest, 1972. Interesting reading, wonderful drawings and pictures. I don't know for sure but I theorize that less than 10,000 were made. Only appeared in the 1911 Stevens catalog #53. Do you own a No. 200? I have one. e-mail me at shpmnwnw@hotmail.com
