What bolts will work in a Remington 721 action? I have a Rem. 721 that some one has tried to open the face and also the ejector spring is missingI want to replace the bolt body so the face is for a 30-06 and a ejector clip will eject the shell...Pat[?][:D]

    plc1,

M721 or M700 LA bolt bodies will work in the M721 receivers. The problem will be finding one that you're willing to pay for these days. Be patient and see if one comes along.

One alternative is to buy a new bolt body from Dave Kiff at Pacific Tool and Gauge. It will have to be fitted by a gunsmith.

Time Precision also makes replacement bolts.

You can have the bolt face reduced back down in diameter by making a bushing. Then you need to have a Sako-style extractor put in. Be sure to find a gunsmith familiar with this process as it is not for amateurs or beginners.

    Best.

    plc1,

No, the M722 bolt is for the Short Action so the bolt body won't be long enough.

    Best.
