With the rifle came box of ammo assembled by someone, for the previous owner. I took one cartridge apart. Very pointy 600 Gr with one lubricant groove bullet is 459 dia. 1 3/4" long, sticking out from case approximately 1 1/10" from case. I like the bullet! Do you know who could possibly make such molds?
Extruded powder kernels has little holes through (I've seen that powder but can't recall what brand it is) and is only 28 Grains of it! Recognize this powder? Black powder substitute ?
Any way.. For any standard looks to me like this load is pip squeak !!
Thanks!

and call up page 12; right hand column, half way down.
Powder MAY be Accurate Arms 5744. Which is not a black powder substitute but is a smokeless powder meant for use in black powder cartridges. That is probably not a real light load, the maximum for a 500 gr bullet in .45-110 is 37 gr.

I cannot identify it from the picture. SR4759 would be about the right burn rate but I don't have any left to eyeball.

useful with cast bullets and large cases, as it gives good
load density with lighter charge weights.
