Have a Colt govt model, ser#252xxx-C. All original parts, but it has been parkerized in a black finish and fitted with Pachmyer rubber grips. Can anyone tell me year of manufacture and/or value.
Thanks.

1951, to bad it's been refinished, it detracts a lot from the value.

I know, but it had rusted, and someone had tried to either sand or steel wool the rust off. It looked terrible.

Hey BK, you got a great shooter, but no ones gonna fight over it.I own many originals, but I also have a refinished one and that is the one I shoot.I figure I can use it and do no harm. Enjoy-Bob
