1928 A1 DIS-ASSEMBLY

I HAVE STRIPPED MY AUTO ORD 1928A1 BUT THE REPUBLISHED MANUAL I PICKED UP IN 1986 DOESNT SHOW THE RECIEVER GROUP LIKE THE ONE I AM WORKING ON.
THIS GROUP HAS 3 SPRINGS,(1) I ASSUME TO THE BUFFER UNIT AND (2) TO THE..? THE BOTTOM 2 SPRINGS MEET WITH A SMALL METAL BLOCK AT THE REAR AND THE TOP SPRING GOES OUT TO WHAT I FIGURE IS THE BUFFER RELEASE BUTTON ON THE REAR END OF THE RECIEVER GROUP.
HOW CAN I SAFELY FINISH DISASSEMBLING THIS WEAPON?
ALSO THE BARREL CAME RIGHT OUT AND WAS ACTUALLY PROBABLY LOOSE WHEN I LAST HAD IT ON THE RANGE.THE RANGE MASTER AND MYSELF THOUGHT IT WAS THE COMPENSATOR! I BOUGHT A STRAP WRENCH AT SEARS TO REINSTALL IT BUT NEED ADVICE ON HOW TO DO THIS SAFELY ALSO. THIS IS AN AUTO ORD ORIGINAL I PURCHASED IN 1986 AS A NAVY COMEMMORATIVE #25 OF - 300..I THINK. THE STOCKS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE WW2 WAREHOUSED WOOD AND IT ALSO HAS A LEATHER SLING.UNFORTUNATELY THE HIGH GLOSS BLUING HAS BEEN PITTED AND NEEDS TO BE REDONE AS WELL AS THE GOLD LAYERING ON THE SIGHTS IN THE REAR.BUT BOTH ARE MINIMAL. WHAT MIGHT IT BE WORTH? THANKS RB

    (1) PROBABLY GOES TO THE FIRING PIN AND THE OTHER (2) GO TO THE BOLT...THANKS...MYSELF.' BUT I STILL NEED TO KNOW THE SEQUENCE FOR DIS-ASSEMBLY/RE-ASSEMBLY OF THE RECIEVER GROUP AND HOW TO PROPERLY RE-ASSEMBLE THE BARREL[?]

    Thompson barrels should be quite tight. Your loose barrel has to be a factory defect. You could try and make up washer shaped shims out of .001" or .002" steel shim stock. Lubricate the shim so it doesn't seize up.
