Is the gas tube different between the yugo and the chinese sks?

    Yep, the Yugo's gas tube is configured different due to the different gas block it has to accomodate the grenade launcher. There is a replacement tube available for the Yugo and the other SKS rifles at Tapco and other places. The SKS-M tube is also different (shorter)

    Thanks I checked it out and they did have them. I totally screwed up my gas tube trying to replace the wood cover on it with a synthetic one.

    www.sksman,com. They have a machined tube with vetilation ribs for like $20. Works great.
