I have an 1800's damascus, breach loading hammer gun. About 1880. It is a J.P. Clabrough of which there is a lot of information on line. The rib is marked JP Clabrough & Bros London. At the breach on the rib is marked (P)reble Wedge Fast. The first letter appears to be a "P" the rest is legible. I was not able to find anything on line about this and I was wondering is this was their own patent or one that everyone used. Early gun serial #173.
