I am looking at a Model 1200 /Winchester Riot gun, approximately 80 per cent shape.Looked on the internet and blue book, can not find any info on the gun.Does anybody have any idea ,what the gun would be worth, approximately. The gun was suppose to have come out of Moundsville Prison ,W.V..The only thing I did find out,was they quit making the 1200 in 1983.Thank you,Bill.

In the condition you describe. Without supporting data, that it actually left Winchester as a riot gun? And with no prison registration numbers or markings?
All it is, is a beat up short barreled shotgun. 11 commandment of gun buying, is that you buy the gun for what it is. Not for the bs stories it comes with.

Going by those I'd say About $225 in 80% condition.
Google had a wood stock riot, nice shape, last year sold for $250.
Well I know for sure it is a riot gun,it says so right on the barrel. It has a folding stock, and all looks original. As for the Moundsville story,I know you believe nothing you here and half of what you see.I just need a price for a Winchester Model 1200 Riot gun. Thank you,Bill
Folding Stocks on shotguns look really tacticool. But the steel strut that connects the butt, to the pistol grip. Beats the heck out of your face. When you try to get a cheek weld, when firing it. After a while your flinchits gets so bad. You just shoot it using the pistol grip. Speaking from experience.
