Hello again folks:

I have a COLT SAA 2nd generation chambered in .45 Colt with a 5 1/2" barrel. SN 35101 SA. As you can see from the photos, it's in nice shape.

Can anyone tell me what in year it was manufactured and what it's worth?

You folks are very helpful, Thank You.

Best Regards.

1961 most likely $1750.00 + or - $250.00 Pictures are not large enough to really tell condition. If you have original papers and Box add $200.00 - $400.00 over 15,000 made this caliber and barrel length. so not a rare model

    Thank you Perry Shooter.

I wish I had the original box and papers, but unfortunately I do not.

How do I make the pictures larger? I thought that I was following the directions properly. I uploaded them to ImageShack in a larger version, but somehow the size got reduced when I posted the HTML code on my original message. The same thing happened in my earlier string about the 1917 and somehow Ruffe-Snow was able to increase the size. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

    Thanks again and Best Regards.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

Don't use the "URL" link. Paste the url between the image links using the image icon icon_editor_image.gif

Also, you used the thumbnail image, which contains .th before the .jpg in your link:

    http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/3484/coltsaa2ndgen45a.th.jpg

Be sure to use the full-size link like this:

    http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/3484/coltsaa2ndgen45a.jpg

Use that link with the img icon as stated above and you will get this:

    coltsaa2ndgen45a.jpg

Is that hammer jeweled? It looks like it in this pic. If so, it negatively affects value.

    Thank you very much Spider.

No, the hammer isn't jeweled......but it does look like it in that photo. It must be the reflection of the flash (I took the picture indoors and the flash is automatic on my camera). The photo of the other side of the SAA doesn't have that reflection.

    Thanks again and Best Regards.

You're welcome. I agree with Perry Shooter's assessment.
