Does anyone here use a fingerprint safe for hand guns? Thinking of gettig one but can't decide on a model? Any ideas?

I have never used these but I think I would trust this type of box.

I don't trust them, we had a biometric lock on our entry door for EMS and it would only work about half the time. We finally replaced it with a regular push button combo lock. That being said, I wouldn't trust quick access to anything that involved reading my fingerprint.

+1.
I don't like any type of safe that unlocks via electronic components only.
Yes, those ARE more convenient to use, but IMO, there is too much of a chance that power or batteries will fail when you need the thing to be open.
I also don't like the idea of a fingerprint activated lock. What if your hands are wet or dirty in an emergency? What if you need to give access to someone else in pinch?
Something like that could be OK if you can ALSO open it via a key, but if that's the case, how much advantage is there to having the fingerprint option?
It doesn't protect against theft, but if all you need to do is to secure ONE gun from unauthorized use, you can simply use the (horror!!!) built in gun lock, or any number of aftermarket external gun locks.
