.32 special question.

Regarding the .32-20 question and my .32 Winchester Special diversion. I always had that one "off by one" if you will. I always have it in my mind the .32 Win Special was the .32 WCF. Thanks for the clarification.

    As Old Colts and Bert stated, .32 WCF is .32-20. The .32 Winchester Special is also designated as .32 WS.

    The .32 WCF = .32-20 is a short cartridge that came out in the 1873 and carried over to the 1892, with Colt and S&W revolvers to match.

    The .32 Winchester Special is a "high powered" bottleneck rifle only cartridge. It is essentially a .30-30 case necked up to take the same diameter bullet as the older .32-40. Chambered by Winchester in the 1894 and similar.
