M1-A Leather sling

My M1-A has a nice leather sling labeled: MRT Dec 03
I would assume that Dec 03 is the date of manufacture, but does the MRT mean anything?
Thanks

Your repro M1907 sling is MRT marked to indicate Mildew Resistant Treatment (assuming it really has been treated).

Neal is spot on (as usual) in that a lot of the firms making these slings simply stamp MRT on the leather because that is a part of the standard military markings that a buyer expects to see on an original, not because they actually have treated their reproduction.
