I have acquired a Remington 511 with a code of PC8 stamped on the left side of the barrel and no serial number that I can find. Is 1934 the correct manufacturing date for this rifle?
I also received a model 788 in .222 with a barrel code of WRP 82 and a serial number in the 040400 range, what year was it made?

1982 and 2008, the number 8 is the assembly number. I would think the year 1956 would be more likely the year it was manufactured.
The P is for the month of June, the C is for the years 1934, 1956,

Is there a way to tell 1934 or 1956 by other markings?
It has no serial number so it is not 1982 or 2008.
Has to be 1956
