age of old Remington rifle

I know that finding the age of Remingtons is difficult, but I'm hoping one of you Experts can help. I have a Model 4 rolling block .22 cal. with S/N 1447xx. It is a lever-type takedown with octagon barrel. The only markings are "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION N.Y." on the top of the barrel and the numbers "22" and the serial number on the bottom of the barrel ahead of the forearm. I'm not looking for a to-the-day date of mfe., but I am curious as to about how old it is. It's in pretty good condition and the moving parts are still quite snug, with no looseness.
Thank you

The company name Remington Arms Co., was used between 1888 to 1912. #4's, were made between 1890 & 1933. Close as I can get, is that your's was made sometime between 1890 & 1912.

Flayderman says the takedown came out "after the turn of the century." DeHaas says the lever takedown was first.
So that puts it 1900 to 1912.
