Colt 1917 barrel swap

Ok I found a barrel finally. Is this something that I can swap out myself or leave it to the pro's? I understand that I would have to build a fixture to hold the frame to keep it from warping and would have to build a barrel wrench with bushings. I have the capabilities for doing this at home. It was brought up when I posted in the want ads looking for a barrel, that they were really tightly threaded. Would moderate heat on the frame and dry ice on the barrel help with installation?
BTW this is a 1917 Colt revolver .45 ACP.

Apply Kroil to both ends of the threads, let it work for several days. Hot and cold will work in your favor.

I just looked up what I need at Brownells......Ouch! almost $300 in tooling. I can most likely do everything I need on my lathe. This ones going on the back burners for a while. Pretty expensive lesson on "squib" loads.
